GITIS auditions in Kazakhstan

GITIS launches auditions in the Republic of Kazakhstan the upcoming spring as our school deepens ties with the country.

14 performances will be shown at the III International Student Festival of graduation performances “GITIS fest”

The festival will showcase 14 performances from various theater schools and theaters in cities such as Belgorod, Belgrade (Serbia), Vladivostok, Zarechny, Kazan, Moscow, New Delhi (India), St. Petersburg, Shanghai (China), and Yaroslavl. The festival aims to serve as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between major Russian and international theater schools.

How a foreigner can apply to GITIS

Admission of foreign students to Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (Academic Year 2020-2021)

Admission process for the Bachelor, Master and Specialist programs end on August 4th2020.

The application of the documents for the following faculties (Acting, Directing, Musical Theater and Variety Theater) is possible only after the successful result of the auditions.

The application is made via personal account of the student/applicant (“Apply here”) in the GITIS’ website. Please use Google Сhrоmе or Mozilla Firefox for this procedure. We kindly ask you to send the copy of the documents to the mail of International Department of GITIS (international@gitis.net).

Documents for the application:

(1) Application form

(2) Agreement to use personal data

(3) Scan of the passport (translated in Russian language and verified by notary)

(4) High School Diploma or Bachelor degree (translated in Russian language and verified by notary)

(5) Agreement for the enrolment

(6) 6 photos (3×4 size)

(7) Medical certificate

(8) The admission period for distance learning students is July 29th — August 18th 2020.

1. GITIS is organizing its auditions:

  • For all faculties from August 5th to August 18th 2020
  • For distant learning August 19th to August 31st 2020

2. Auditions will be partly organized online.

These are the deadlines for the following faculties:

52.0З.05 Theatre Studies (BA)

55.05.04 Creative Producing (Specialist degree)

52.04.01 Dance(MA)

52.04.0З Acting (MA)

50.06.01 Art History (postgraduate course)

52.09.05 Theater Directing

3. Foreign nationals using the quota provided by the Ministry of Education (Rossotrudnichestvo) hand over only special exams.

4. The language of the entrance test — Russian

5. All the first year students are provided with the dormitory which is located on Trifonovskaya Street 45B, Moscow.

Unfortunately, we do not provide applicants with the dormitory during the entrance exams.
