Applications are now open for a new GITIS and InteRussia fellowship program aimed for professional actors, and students of theatre schools aged 21 to 35 from Argentina, Brazil, India, Iran, China, South Africa, and other BRICS+ countries.
The program includes training on acting and stage movement from GITIS professors, lectures on Russian theatre with the special focus on the life and work of Konstantin Stanislavsky, his acting Method, and the work of his disciples.
We are expecting to welcome at GITIS young theatre professional from Argentina, Brazil, India, Iran, China, South Africa, and other BRICS+ countries.
“GITIS has extensive experience working with international actors and directors. Today, we have students from nearly 30 countries, but even for us, the BRICS+ School proposed by the Gorchakov Fund was a bold experiment. Young actors from seven countries came to learn about Stanislavsky’s System in the homeland of this theatrical genius and, after 28 days, presented the results of their work, together, at one stage. Stanislavsky’s theatrical language united fellows from different countries, continents, religions, and languages. We are deeply grateful to the Gorchakov Fund for their trust, enthusiasm, and inspiration! We are ready to do it again!” shares GITIS Rector Grigory Zaslavsky.
The program will take place in Moscow from 24 August to 4 October, 2025.
Applications are open from 27 January to 8 June, 2025.
