Students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Ayaulym Beketbayeva and Rustem Amirbekov have arrived at GITIS for a spring semester individual internship at the Faculty of Choreography. Ayaulym is training under the guidance of People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor Margarita Drozdova, while Rustem is studying in the workshop of People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Professor Vladimir Kirillov.
As part of their internship, the students have already participated in a concert of the Faculty of Choreography.
“GITIS is a legendary place where some of the greatest stage masters have studied and worked. I knew this was not just a trip, but a serious step in my professional development. My expectations were high, of course—but the reality has exceeded them. The atmosphere here is filled with creativity and hard work. The faculty is outstanding, the assignments are interesting, and the training process is intense. I especially appreciate that we are encouraged to think, to search for new solutions. Even now, I can feel how my perspective is expanding—my outlook on work and the process of creating dance is changing,” — says Rustem Amirbekov.
The academic mobility program is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between GITIS and the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
