The first GITIS educational program in Côte d’Ivoire has come to a close in Abidjan. From December 2 to 5, workshops were held simultaneously at two venues — the National Institute of Arts and Culture (INSAAC) and the National Arts Center (CNAC). The program brought together senior students, professional actors, and leading GITIS faculty members.
The workshops were led by Robert Elkibaev (movement and physical training), Irina Avtushenko (stage speech), and Alexei Kalinin (acting). For the GITIS teachers, this was their first trip to Côte d’Ivoire, and for many Ivorian participants, it became their first introduction to the Russian theatre school.
The project was initiated by the Association of Russian-Speaking Citizens in Côte d’Ivoire and has become the starting point for a long-term professional collaboration. We express our gratitude to the Embassy of the Russian Federation for its support and participation.
