Andrey Borisov is a general manager of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow since 2019.
He is a Perm State University graduate (in 1996), in 2000 he finished postgraduate studies and defended his Ph.D. thesis on American conservatives and multiculturalism.
From 2002 to 2015 he held different executive positions in the government of Perm region, including ministry of education. Also, in 2008 he became a head of the Department of Humanities at Higher School of Economics in Perm where he established faculty of social sciences and humanities. In 2014–2017 he was appointed director of the regional State Archive turning it into an active art centre. In 2017-2020 he served as an executive director of the Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre in Perm.
Holds the Perm Krai Award for Culture and Art for the project Legends of the Perm Theatre.
Mr. Borisov has been a member of the Presidential Council for Culture and Art.
